Time for Hockey and Memories

30 October 2016

Fighting cancer is a cause that both teams can agree on.

There’s been a huge hunger for hockey in the quad-city area since the Sundogs stopped playing. Now is the chance to assuage that deep desire to see skaters on the ice with hockey sticks, pucks and a net.

The Northern Arizona University Icejacks face the Grand Canyon University ‘Lopes again tonight at the Prescott Valley Event Center. The puck drops at 7 PM.

Earlier today, members of the community came in to paint the names of loved ones that had been affected by cancer.

Last night’s game showed a relentless Icejacks team, and an Antelopes team ready to go toe to toe with their opponent. The final score was 8-3 in favor of NAU, but that doesn’t fully reflect the excellent hockey played on the ice.

We got a chance to speak to both coaches after the game:

Come on down and cheer on your favorite team!
