Playing on a neutral site seemed to be an advantage for Prescott, since the crowd noise was at times almost nonexistent. It was slow go for both squads as they looked to adjust the the Events Center. Kendall Crockett knocked down a three pointer to get the Lady Badgers on the board, giving Prescott a 3-2 lead with 2:33 left in the first quarter.
The Bears got sloppy in the second quarter, helping Prescott to build a lead. Steals by Hollie Dalton and Dana Seavey led to baskets by the Lady Badgers to go ahead 9-5 just a minute and a half into the quarter. Prescott then took advantage of the Bradshaw Mountain fouls, as Dalton knocked down a pair of free throws to lead 11-7. Kira Reily's basket increased the lead to 13-8. Another Bear turnover again produced dividends for the Lady Badgers, as Hollie Dalton drove the baseline to the basket, and it was 15-8 with 3:13 left in the half. Prescott went onto build a 19-13 halftime lead.
Haley Crumpler gave Prescott the lead back at 20-19 by converting on a free throw. Hollie Dalton then fed Kira Reily, using the glass convert for a 22-19 advantage. Bradshaw Mountain put a pair of baskets together to regain the lead 23-22 with 2:02 remaining in the third.
Eve Hawker gave Ebony Porter a sweet pass, then Porter banked in a shot and the LAdy Badgers were on top again at 24-23. The score would remain the same to end the quarter.
Bradshaw Mountain started to use their size to gain the upper hand in the paint. Drawng fouls on the Lady Badgers to get to the free throw line. Sierra Woolley knocked down a pair at the line to give the Bears the lead again, 25-24 6:29 left in the fourth. A Dana Seavey jumper tied the game at 26 with 4:43 left. Bradshaw hit one of two free throws to take a 27-26 lead.
Kira Reily was called for a foul that could have easily been called a jump ball. Instead it was her fifth foul, eliminating her from the game with 3:23 left. That call completely turned the tide in favor of the Bears, for the moment that is. Bradshaw Mountain outscored Prescott 6-0 in the next two plus mionutes. Then a big change as the Bears got sloppy and missed some free throws to boot, leaving the door a tad open for Prescott, who came to life to outscore Bradshaw Mountain 8-1 in the final 91 seconds. Trailing 33-26, Hollie Dalton started the run and finished it as well, coming down to the final seconds. Dalton pulled up for a shot just short of the hoop, and was fouled with just :05 left. Dalton nailed the first, and Prescott caoch Bobbi Yoder called a timeout. Dalton continued what she had staterd, ft, p to ft tied :05 left 34-34, ot
The game changed in overtime, as Bradshaw Mountain once again went back to the inside play to go up 38-34 with just 1:28 to play. The Lady Badgers could not get anything to fall, with the only point came on a Hollie Dalton free throw, as Bradshaw Mountain won by nine. Rylee Bundrick led all scorers with 14 points, and Sierra Woolley added 11 for the Bears. Prescott was led by Hollie Dalton with 13 points, and Kira Reily scored 10.
Prescott (4-5) and (9-14) will play their final game of the season on Tuesday, at Mohave. Game time is 5:30pm. Bradshaw Mountain finished the season in second place in the Grand Canyon Region. The Bears will host Desert Edge on Tuesday at 7pm.
