The first road trip of the season was a successful one as the Prescott Badgers girls soccer team handled the Poston Butte Broncos 8-0 last night in the San Tan Valley. Sawyer Magnett was the start of the game as she scored 4 first half goals and added 2 assists. Four other Badgers scored, Ellie Magnett and Kari Kasun each scored in the first half as well to give Prescott a 6-0 lead at the break.
Emma Alvarez and Lily Jenson each scored goals in the second half. Alvarez also had 2 assists. Kaitlyn Kasun had an assist, along with Erika Smith and Hailey Mayhan.
Rebekah Norris was solid in the net for 60 minutes, and Emily Hobson was as good for the final 20 minutes to shutout the Broncos.
Coach Paul Campuzano said, "It was aniother solid performance. The girls are playing smart and really quick."
Poston Butte drops to (1-3), while the Badgers remain unbeaten at (3-0). Prescott will host Seton Catholic, on Tuesday at 5pm
