The Prescott High School Athletic Department announced the hiring of new head boys basketball coach, Travis Stedman.
Coach Stedman comes back to PHS after a stint as the Asst. Women's Basketball Coach at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he helped lead the program to a 21 win season, a national top 25 ranking, and their first trip to the Cal Pac Tournament. Previously, for 7 years, Coach Stedman held the position of Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for Prescott High School under Coach Adam Neely. PHS went (102-141) in nine seasons with Neely at the helm. Stedman coached the PHS freshmen boys for three years as well.
"I am honored and humbled to be the new boys basketball head coach at Prescott High School," said Coach Travis Stedman. He added, "We will work diligently and with great energy to make everyone associated with Prescott High School and the community very proud of our product. I can't wait to get started."
Prescott High School Athletic Director Missy Townsend said, "We are very excited to have Travis be the newest member to the Athletic Department at Prescott High School. His experience at the high school and the collegiate level will be a great boom to the program and department."
