The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs won their eighth game in a row by beating the Prescott Badgers 9-1, in Peoria yesterday afternoon.

Considering how Sunrise Mountain had outscored their last three opponents 63-3, the Badgers did very well to keep the game in check.

The Mustangs improved to (15-2), by scoring in every inning except the fifth. Trailing 4-0 in the fourth inning, the Badgers got an RBI single by Tessa Eppele scoring Francesca Larson, to make it 4-1. Sunrise Mountain came right back with four in the bottom of the inning to go up 8-1. They would add one more in their half of the sixth.

Francesca Larson was the only Badger to have two hits, with a single and double. Besides Tessa Eppele RBI single, Rebekah Norris, Makayla Reyes, Morgan Little, Hannah Hasvold all had single hits in the contest.

The Badgers (3-11), return home today to take on Lee Williams Volunteers. Game time is at 3:45pm. Prescott beat the Volunteers 9-4 on Tuesday.
