Roughriders, Pima Community College Game Ends In Double Overtime 1-1 Tie

Yavapai College Soccer has defeated Pima Community College sixty times in Roughrider history, the most against any one school. However,  Yavapai College had to settle for a 1-1 double overtime tie in a hard-fought battle Friday night at Kino Complex in Tucson.

Pima scored a goal in the fifteenth minute and Yavapai responded with a goal of their own from John Scearce, assisted by Ziyad Fares, in the sixteenth minute.

Neither team would be able to crack the scoreboard again in the game.

Tyler Trump played all 110 minutes in goal for the Green and Gold and made nine saves.

The Roughriders continue league action on Tuesday against another top twenty team when Phoenix College comes to Mountain Valley Park. The match will begin at 6:00 PM.
