Roughriders start season with a win against Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

The #9 ranked Yavapai College Roughriders began their 29th season of intercollegiate soccer Tuesday night with a 4-2 victory over Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Prescott Valley. The match was the season opener for both teams. With the victory, YC is now 299-15-3 all-time at home and 28-1-0 in season openers.

The next opponent for the Roughriders will be against the Scenic West Athletic Conference defending champions, Salt Lake Community College. The match will be played on Thursday, August 22nd at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley beginning at 6:00 PM.
