Bennett was one of three candidates under consideration to replace Representative David Stringer, who resigned a couple of weeks ago. The Yavapai Board of Supervisors made the final decision to choose Steve Pierce.
When Bennett was speaking before the Board of Supervisors, he described his personal expertise with balancing the State Budget, but also reiterated that the Board of Supervisors had a strong list of three candidates (the other person under consideration was Steven Sensmeier) and couldn’t go wrong whoever they chose.
Bennett and Martin talked about the state Budget and how it still remains out of balance while certain expenses are not factored in.
Bennett also talks about the State Retirement Systems, legislative priorities and hydroponic farming.
