When you work together, study together and and live together on a campus, it feels almost like family. So, when the faculty and students at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) found out that two of their graduates, David Schlosser and Tyler Price, died in a plane accident on Sunday, the news hit hard.

Monsoon Season is Here!!!

That wet stuff you saw falling from the sky is called rain, in case you forgot - and it was much needed in the Prescott area. More rain is expected today, and throughout the weekend, according to Len Davis on KYCA.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, a petroglyph rock located along the Salt Mine Road in Camp Verde was vandalized by some unknown perpetrator(s) who smeared drywall mud on the rock, covering up the ancient art.

The Table Fire in Dugas

The Table Fire is burning about 7 miles northeast of the town of Dugas inside the Cedar Bench Wilderness, according to Mary Nunez, of the Forest Service.
“The crux of the matter, from a technical standpoint is very simple.  If the entire Big Chino Basin acts as one aquifer…..   it’s somewhat inescapable that you’ll eventually impact the springs.”
With weary grins and smudged faces, the fire fighters nodded politely as people drove by and slowed down to thank them. It had been a tough battle, but they had won this one, and the victory meant homes were saved, and trees would live for another day.
