Register now to vote in the August primary.

Election information

Verde Valley voters can hear from the candidates running in City and Town Council elections.  The League of Women Voters Greater Verde Valley has organized candidate forums this week for Council races in the August 28th Primary Election. Tomorrow night at 6:30, a Mayoral Candidate Forum will be held at the Sedona Public Library on White Bear Road and a Jerome Town Council Forum will take place at the Fire Station on Main Street.  The last day to register to vote, change your party registration or update your address is July 30th.  Early voting in the Primary Election starts August 1st and early ballots will be mailed out that week.

Good news for drivers who use Rosser Street as construction is nearing completion.

City of Prescott crews are installing the final layer of asphalt along the entire project corridor from Campbell Avenue to near Eagle View Drive this week.  One lane of traffic will remain open at all times but motorists may encounter lane restrictions, reduced speeds and flagging operations.  Work hours are 7 am to 6 pm today through Saturday.  Crews have finished concrete work on the detention basin at the corner of Rosser and Campbell.  Meanwhile, the City of Prescott and its contractor, Asphalt Paving and Supply have reached significant completion on the sidewalk repairs and reconstruction project.  Improvements include the replacement of concrete sidewalks, curbs, driveway entrances and handicap ramps at various locations throughout downtown Prescott.
