Prescott Valley Council considers new park playground equipment
The Prescott Valley Town Council meets at 5:30 tonight to consider new park playground equipment. According to Town Parks and Recreation Director Brian Witty, 18 thousand dollars has been budgeted for the purchase of playground equipment at Fence Line Park in the Stoneridge development. The new equipment will replace the current playground structure that has exceeded its life cycle and doesn’t meet current operating standards. The Scottsdale based Triple M Construction has provided the low bid for this project. With approval by Town Council, construction is scheduled to take 2 months. Council’s voting session will be held in the Library Auditorium on Civic Circle.
New bids to Iron Springs Road Improvement Project
One thirty this afternoon is the deadline to bid on the Iron Springs Road Pavement Improvements Project. This project runs almost 8 miles from the Kirkland Valley Road intersection to near the Town of Skull Valley. In addition to application of an asphalt overlay, there will be new guardrail, shouldering and restoration of road striping and markings. Yavapai County Supervisor Craig Brown explains this project had to be resubmitted after all bids were rejected last month. Brown describes what the issue was with the bids. The bids are scheduled to be opened at 2 this afternoon. A contract award will be before the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors at a future meeting.
