On Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at approximately 10:15 P.M. Prescott Police officers responded to the area of the 600 block of Eastwood Drive upon the report of an attempted burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect, 25-year-old Prescott resident, Adrian Marquez, lying on the ground with the neighbor of the victim standing over him armed with a handgun. The victim homeowner was also present.

Through the course of the investigation officers learned that the victim was inside his residence when he heard noises coming from his entry door by his garage. Upon investigation, the victim was able to see the male suspect jiggling his door handle and attempting to get in. The victim opened the door onto the suspect knocking him to the ground.
