Plan for State Route 69 daytime lane restrictions at the Spring Lane intersection near Cordes Lakes Aug. 16-17

Drivers should use caution and allow extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane restrictions and intermittent closures on north- and southbound State Route 69 at the intersection of Spring Lane near Cordes Lakes.

The following restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16 and Tuesday, Aug. 17:

  • North- and southbound SR 69 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between mileposts 264 and 265 at the Spring Lane intersection with intermittent full closures of the intersection for up to 30 minutes.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
  • The restrictions are needed so ADOT crews can safely complete the installation and activate the new traffic signal.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while pavement repairs are underway.

Plan for Interstate 17 daytime lane restrictions between State Routes 169 and 69 Aug. 18 – 26

Drivers should allow extra travel time.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers who travel Interstate 17 to plan for daytime alternating north- and southbound lane restrictions between State Routes 169 and 69.

The following restrictions will occur daily from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18 through Thursday, Aug. 26:

  • North- and southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between the junctions with SR 169 (exit 278) and the junction with SR 69 (exit 263).
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
  • No weekend work is scheduled.
  • The restrictions are needed for maintenance crews to apply a fog-seal treatment to the roadway, which protects and extends the life of the pavement.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while pavement repairs are underway.
