PRESCOTT, AZ - Community leaders are coming together once again this year to organize and host the longest running charity auction in Prescott. (72 years)
The Kiwanis Club of Prescott and Kiwanis Club of Prescott Foundation have held a community-based auction since 1949 with proceeds benefiting the youth of Prescott and Yavapai County. The Kiwanis Club of Prescott will offer to the highest bidder fabulous new personal and household items, vacation packages, gift cards to local restaurants and as many as 1,500 items all donated by local business who also support our community.
The auction is broadcast on Channel 64 and live streamed at www.prescottkiwanisauction.com and Facebook each week night beginning 7:00 PM, from March 23-April 3rd. Bidding is open to anyone who calls the HOTLINE at 928-445-8700. Bidders may call between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, each night to place their bid on items displayed during the broadcast.
The Kiwanis Club of Prescott was founded May 10, 1924 and has hosted events to support and highlight the youth of our community, such as the annual Kiddie Parade, since 1942 and the 4-H Luncheon which began in 1948. The Kiwanis Club has deep roots in Prescott and has been led by founding families such has the Barrett and Hicks who are still represented in the club some 96 years later. The 2020 auction is led by Auction Chair Amy Bonney, supported by President Tammy Pyeatt and Auction Solicitation Chair Geoff Sweeney.
The Kiwanis Club of Prescott has set a goal of raising over $210,000 which will be used to provide books, blankets and scholarships for the youth of the community as well as support for other youth-based organizations.
