AZ ESGR Northern Section Volunteers Participate in the Annual "Turkeys to the Troops 2019" with AZ Heros to Hometowns

On Sunday, November 24, 2019, Arizona ESGR Volunteers Patrick Kuykendall, Larry Gray, Tony Morrison  and Larry Jacobs went to the Prescott Centennial Center located at 1989 Clubhouse Drive, Prescott, AZ 86301 where they participated in the Annual “Turkeys to the Troops 2019” organized by the AZ Heroes to Hometowns

This year the focus was to provide a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings to Post 9-11 Wounded/Injured Troops, Gold Star Families, Families of Deployed Military Service Members, National Guard, Reserves and Active Duty (E-7 and Under) Military  to pick up a food box and grocery gift certificate for a turkey.

We were open from 1300 -1700 hours and served numerous military family members. We were also assisted by personnel from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Yavapai County Supervisor Craig Brown (District 4) and Prescott City Councilman Phil Goode who are both Vietnam Combat veterans. Special thanks go out to Ms. Kathy Pearce who oversees AZ Heroes to Hometowns program and bringing it to the Prescott area.  Special thanks also goes out to all the volunteers who assisted in the distribution process to insure that our military families have a Great Thanksgiving meal.
