Flash Flood Watch in Effect Late Tuesday Night Through Thursday Morning

It’s unlikely that Yavapai County will get snow, but there certainly could be flooding.

National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ 756 PM MST Mon Nov 18 2019. FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Northern Gila County, as well as Yavapai County, including Oak Creek and Sycamore Canyons.

* From late Tuesday night through Thursday morning.

* A series of storm systems will bring an extended period of rainfall to the area from Tuesday night through Thursday. Embedded thunderstorms may produce localized rainfall rates exceeding 1 inch in less than an hour. Storm total rainfall may exceed 2 to 3 inches in many locations.

* These rainfall rates will result in rapidly rising water in area washes, creeks and streams. This will create hazardous conditions at low water crossings. Turn Around, Don`t Drown. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS. A Flash Flood Watch Means That Developing Conditions May Lead To Flash Flooding Within The Watch area. People especially those located along area creeks rivers or other flash flood prone areas should continue to monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should flash flood warnings be issued.
