Republican Party Events in November

These events are a good way to learn about local and national politics in Yavapai County.

Citizens for America: The guest speaker is Drake Mitchell, President of the Board of the AZCDL (Arizona Citizens Defense League) political action committee, political action administrator, and volunteer coordinator. AZCDL is Arizona’s independent advocates for the 2nd amendment. He will discuss the Governor’s position on “red flag laws”, and “step orders”.

When: Thursday, November 7, 2019

Time: 6:30 PM

Where: Canyon Trail Cowboy Church, 3132 White Bear Road, Sedona 86336

Cost: Admission is free, enjoy desserts with them.


Republican Men’s Forum: In November, the guest speakers will be Ken Bennett, former Arizona Secretary of State, who will address the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PRSPS) and Robin Sobotta, Prescott Airport Director.

When: Monday, November 11, 2019

Time: 12:00 -1:30 PM * Note time change!!! This will allow folks to participate in or attend the Veterans Day Parade

Where: Hotel St. Michael’s ballroom, 205 W. Gurley Street, Prescott.

Cost: Veterans Day Luncheon $20.00 and RSVP is required by the Thursday (November 7) before the meeting. Reservations can be made at Yavapai Republican Men's Forum

Mingus Mountain Republican Club: In November, the guest speakers will be Colonel Wayne Daniels and County Board of Supervisors Tom Thurman (District 2) and Randy Harrison (District3). Col. Daniels was a B17 air force pilot with the 388th bomb group during WW II. He was on his third mission when he was shot while parachuting over Germany. He was captured and spent the remainder of the war in a POW camp. The Board of Supervisors will provide an update on Yavapai County issues.

When: Tuesday, November 12 2019

Time: Doors open at 11 AM, lunch (optional) line forms at 11:15 AM and meeting starts at 11:45 AM

Where: Cottonwood VFW, Post #7400 at 705 E. Aspen Street, Veterans Way, Cottonwood, AZ.

Cost: Optional lunch is $12.00, no lunch venue fee is $5.00

Republican Women of Prescott (RWOP): In November, the group is having the Annual Veterans tribute and Toys for Tots Drive.

When: Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Time: Doors open at 10:30 AM and lunch is at 11:30 AM.

Where: Prescott Resort, 1500 E. Highway 69, Prescott

Cost: RWOP will pay for the Veterans Lunch and 200 Veterans are expected to attend. Please note that luncheons are for RWOP membership only and not open to the general public.

The Republican Women of Prescott monthly forums will be dark for November and December 2019.


Citizens Tax Committee (CTC): They discuss issues that affect the taxpayers of Yavapai County.

The meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

When: Wednesday, November 13, 2019

Time: 1 PM

Where: Granite Vista Conference room inside the Residence Inn by Marriott located at 3599 Lee Circle in Prescott, AZ.

Yavapai County Republican Party: The local party is hosting a fundraiser. The guest speakers are Dr. Zudhi Jasser and Senator Martha McSally. The program will feature up-scale auction items including work from a renowned artist. Heavy Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.

For the Trunk n’ Tusk members, there will be a champagne toast pre-event to meet the keynote speakers, and will be held between 5PM to 6 PM.

When: Friday, November 22, 2019

Time: 6 PM-9 PM

Where: Goods from the Garden Event Center located in the Prescott Gateway mall at 3250 Gateway Blvd, in Prescott.

Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic (ConCR) is a membership organization but admission is free. Please note that ConCR is a private organization and not affiliated with any political party. Most members are affiliated with the Republican Party or are independents who lean conservative.

The speakers are the Republican candidates for the Arizona State House of Representatives LD1, Dr. Selina Bliss and Quang Nguyen. There is limited seating and an RSVP to is requested by November 17, 2019.

When: Saturday, November 23, 2019

Time: Doors open at 11 AM and meeting will begin at 11:15 AM

Where: VFW 2375 N. 5th St, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314

Cost: Lunch can be ordered from the menu to help support the VFW but admission is free.

ConCR President Jim Dutton invites “solid conservatives looking for an organization that reflects their values” to attend Saturday’s meeting.


Yavapai County Republican Women (YCRW): In November, the guest speaker will be Tim Carter, Superintendent of Yavapai County Public Schools. He will speak about the history of the public schools in Yavapai.

When: November 25, 2019

Time: 5:15 PM- 7 PM

Where: Rowle P. Simmons Community Center aka Adult Center of Prescott at 1280 E. Rosser St, B, Prescott.
