Cold Case volunteers, working under oversight by detectives from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, have identified the skeletal remains found in 2009 as Anthony J. Sanchez from Prescott. The identity was verified by DNA results.
Sanchez was originally reported missing/endangered in November of 2007 following contact with Prescott Police Officers. At that time, family members called authorities with concerns regarding behavioral health issues involving Anthony. During contact with officers, Anthony fled from his home and could not be located even after an extensive search and investigation over several days. He was 20-years-old at the time.
YCSO detectives also worked with Prescott Police Detectives on this case.
