Prescott Woman Arrested for Operating a House of Prostitution

A 59 year-old Prescott woman was arrested for operating a House of Prostitution

On February 13, 2019 at approximately 1:36 PM Prescott Police Officers served a search warrant on a business located in the 600 block of Miller Valley Road.  This search warrant was the result of a month long investigation regarding the activities occurring within the business. The Prescott Police Department had received information that prostitution related crimes were occurring inside the business.  

During the search warrant the business operator, Xia Du, a 59 year old Prescott woman was contacted.  Du was confronted with evidence that had previously been obtained and she admitted to involvement in the offense.  

A male client was contacted at the business during the course of the investigation and was cited and released for engaging in prostitution, which is a misdemeanor.             

The investigation is ongoing and the Prescott Police Department will continue to evaluate and follow up on evidence that was seized at the scene.  Du was booked into the Yavapai County Jail and charged with operating a house of prostitution, which is a felony.
