18-Year-Old Arrested for Child Pornography

Child Pornography arrest

In late October this year, YCSO detectives received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force providing email and other web identification information related to persons downloading child pornography. Following subpoena service to specific internet providers, deputies identified 18-year-old Ryan O’Connor from Dewey as the registered owner of these accounts. Images obtained were reviewed by a forensic subject matter expert who confirmed the children pictured engaged in various sex acts were pre and early teens in age.

Based on the information obtained to this point, detectives secured a search warrant for O’Conner’s Dewey home. On November 1, 2018, O’Conner was interviewed at his home and admitted downloading child pornography images and storing them on his computer.

O’Conner was booked on 8 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and is held in the Camp Verde Detention Center without bond.
