Traveling across Arizona throughout our campaign for Corporation Commission the number one question we’ve been asked is, “Are you taking money from APS?” The answer is NO. Not only have we proposed reforms to clean up the Corporation Commission and remove the influence of special interests, we have also made a commitment to not accept contributions from the regulated utilities, their employees, or lobbyists who appear before the Corporation Commission.
Last week, a national organization, funded by out-of-state billionaires like Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg, committed nearly $3 million in television ads, digital marketing, and mailers for our Democrat opponents. Our opponents are championing California billionaire Tom Steyer’s Proposition 127 and have pledged to impose his mandates even if these mandates are rejected by Arizona voters. That’s why our Democrat opponents are receiving millions in dark money funding from out-of-state special interests who support California style energy prices and mandates.;
The Corporation Commission was created to ensure that Arizona families have safe, reliable and affordable public services. As policy makers with experience in tax and water policy, we will represent your best interest at the commission. We support policies to keep your rates low by avoiding costly mandates.
We are the ONLY two candidates who can unequivocally say that we are not receiving outside funding from special interests or utilities regulated by the Commission. A vote for Rodney Glassman and Justin Olson is a vote for integrity, low rates, and restoring the Corporation Commission back to its constitutionally charged duties.
