Former Secretary of State Ken Bennett said he decided to run for Arizona Governor after current Governor Ducey promised a 20% pay raise to teachers.
"I think people deserve a choice, and I think people want to know that their leaders are able to solve a problem but have enough integrity and courage to tell them how we’re going to pay for it," Bennett said.
Bennett is concerned that Ducey has not explained where the money is coming from, and that the pay raise may not be sustainable for the long term.

According to Bennett, he needs to gather approximately 6200 signatures in 39 days.
