Rollover Causes Traffic Delays

Significant injuries sustained in vehicle rollover accident.

On Monday afternoon a two vehicle collision occurred in front of the Prescott Home Depot on Highway 69.

A west-bound sedan turning left into the Home Depot was struck by an east-bound vehicle. The sedan ended up on its roof, injuring both of its occupants, a husband and wife in their sixties. The female occupant of the sedan was flown by helicopter to Flagstaff Medical with significant injuries while her husband was transported by ground ambulance to Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s West campus.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 19 year-old female was transported to the East campus with non-life threatening injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Traffic flow on Hwy. 69 was impacted by the incident.

Fire and EMS personnel would like to remind everyone to please obey traffic control measures that are in place during such incidents and to be mindful of their speed as they proceed around the accident scene.
