Police Seek Help to Identify Dog and Owner After Youth Was Bitten

On April 7, 2017 at approximately 9:00 P.M., an 11 year old boy was bitten by a loose dog in the 100 block of South Montezuma.  

The victim advised a dog came up to him and when he bent down to pet it, he was bitten in the face. The victim went to a local hospital and was later taken to Phoenix and underwent surgery due to the bite. The victim is also undergoing post rabies exposure shots.

The Prescott Police Department is seeking the help of our community to identify the pet owner and locate the dog, so the victim of the bite can receive the proper medical treatment.

The dog was described as white, fluffy and weighed approximately 50 pounds.
