The 120 national parks that nationally charge an entrance fee, will be offering free park admission on January 16, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

According to the National Park Service website, there are ten days a year that are admission-free. The first one is next Monday, January 16, recognizing the national holiday honoring the slain civil rights leader.

This includes the Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Casa Grande Ruins.

Prescott National Forest Offices Closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

All Prescott National Forest offices (not parks) will be closed Monday, January 16, 2017 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and will resume normal business hours Tuesday, January 17, Debbie Maneely reports.
