On December 30, 2016 at approximately 12:40 AM Prescott Police Officers responded to the alley way behind 102 S. Montezuma Street after receiving a report of a disorderly subject. Officers contacted 39 year old Shane Gille of Phoenix in the area. He told Officers he had just been involved in a fight with two other subjects and had stabbed them with a knife.
Officers did locate two male subjects, a 25 year old Prescott resident and a 24 year old Texas resident in the area. Both men had wounds consistent with stab wounds and were transported to YRMC for treatment.
Investigators following-up learned that the three men had been involved in an altercation inside Matt’s Saloon and had been removed from the establishment. Shortly thereafter, the three men met in the alley way and a fight ensued. The 25 year old victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the face, neck and back and was ultimately transported to a valley area hospital with injuries that are serious, but not considered life threatening at this time. The 24 year old victim was treated for a laceration to his face and was released from YRMC.
Gille was later booked into the Yavapai County Jail for two counts of aggravated assault (both felonies), and one count of assault (a misdemeanor). Detectives are continuing to gather evidence and speak to witnesses. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Prescott Police Detective Jack Shapiro at (928)777-1983.
