Prescott, AZ., June 3, 2016 –Resident of Yavapai County/ District 4 for 13 years, Marla Festenese has filed the required petition signatures for the August 30th Primary for the District 4 County Supervisor seat.
“I am running because I care about how and where the people's tax dollars are being spent,” said Festenese. “She has owned businesses, the first one at age 20 and currently owns an antique shop in Prescott.” She believes her business background gives her the analytical and critical thinking skills needed as well as financial.
She was a volunteer, then board member, then hired as Administrator for the Williamson Valley Fire Department assisting in the expansion of the department with the 24/7 housing station, budget and more. She volunteered for the Yavapai County Republican Committee then was hired as the administrator. She worked for District 4 Supervisor as the administrator. Festenese feels that having been involved with District 4/ Yavapai County for 13 years gives her insight needed.
“Some main concerns are budgeting, water, and infrastructure,” said Festenese.
Festenese is a member of the Yavapai County Republican Committee, has a degree in Child development. She has volunteered for the VA, incarcerated teens, therapy on horseback, reading to classrooms and our local rodeo.
She enjoys horses, kayaking, antiques.
