Collision sends 4 to the Hospital

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION - On November 4, 2015, 22-year-old Melissa Cambra from Kirkland, Arizona, was cited for Speed and Failure to Control Vehicle after colliding with a pick-up truck on Iron Springs Road around milepost 7.5, outside of Prescott. Cambra crossed the centerline on Iron Springs Road while driving towards Skull Valley from Prescott, striking the truck head on. All four occupants, 2 in each vehicle, were treated at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

The 2 vehicles involved in the crash were a 2003 gold Chevrolet Impala driven by Cambra with her sister riding as a passenger. The truck was a maroon Dodge driven by a 63-year-old Skull Valley resident with his wife as a passenger. The truck’s driver told deputies the Impala came around a bend and appeared to lose control, crossing the centerline and striking his vehicle.

Initial reports indicate none of the injuries were life threatening.

Deputies noted that snow had been falling and confirmed snow plows recently made two passes in the area before the crash.
