Last Chance to Vote on School Issues

Today is the last chance to turn in ballots regarding school issues in Yavapai County. 

The Prescott Unified School District is asking voters to approve a Bond and Override measure, plus whether or not to sell Miller Valley School and Washington Schools. 

At 10:30 this morning, out of 37,064 ballots issued, 18,096 have been returned and verified, which is 49%.

Mingus Unified High School District & Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary School District are also seeking a Bond and Override. In this case, 17,441 ballots were issued, and 5,452 have been returned and verified, for 31%. 

 

 
Since this is a mail-in election, polling places are not open. However, ballots can be dropped off before 7 PM at the following drop box locations:
 
For Prescott Unified School District:
 
Prescott Yavapai County Administration Building at 1015 Fair Street, or in the “Drive Thru Drop Box” which is outside. 
 
For Mingus Mountain and the Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary School District #3 Special Election, ballots can be taken to the: 
  • Clarkdale Town Hall, 39 N. 9th Street
  • Cottonwood County Administration Building, 10 S. 6th Street
  • Jerome Town Hall, 600 Clark Street

 

Since the deadline is today, the ballots must be delivered to the drop boxes, not mailed. Only ballots received by 7 PM will be counted, regardless of the post mark.
