PV Police Looking for Hit and Run Driver

03 November 2012   Paul Dunn

The Prescott Valley Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a Hit and Run driver

On 11/02/2012 at approximately 1:30 pm, Prescott Valley Police responded to a two vehicle injury hit & run collision on State Route 69 (eastbound lane) in front of Sam's Club near Sundog Ranch Road.

The run vehicle is described as a mid-1990's or early 2000 model Ford Ranger pickup truck with an extended cab.  The vehicle had a diamond plated tool box in the bed of the truck.  The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage to the front bumper, grill area and possibly the headlight assembly area with possible blue paint transfer.

The run vehicle rear ended a blue 2009 Chevrolet HHR which was witnessed by another driver.  The driver of the Chevrolet HHR sustained non-life threatening injuries. The witness got out to check on the two drivers's and told the driver of the Ford Ranger to pull over into the parking lot of the Chase Bank and follow the HHR.  The driver acknowledged the witness and then fled the scene turning northbound on Sundog Ranch Road towards the Home Depot area.

The driver of the run vehicle is described as a white female, possibly in her mid-fifties with long grey hair.  Any information on the run vehicle and driver please contact the Prescott Valley Police Department Traffic Division Corporal Mike Morris at 772-5132 or Sergeant Mark Postula at 772-5144.

The attached photo is similar to what was described as the run vehicle model and color with the diamond plated tool box. It is not the actual run vehicle.
