  1. During the filming of the Movie in Prescott, my Father Dr Ernie Geever, MD got a call from
the Director that the film Star Steve McQueen – his voice was raspy and the Director was
concerned with his audio quality. Dad’s Office got the call and the Actor went to get
an examination of his throat, chest, etc. Dad had an X-ray Machine and took films of his Lungs
and Chest. They revealed his Cancer that lead to his early death.
Dad referred Steve McQueen to UCLA Medical Center – Oncology Department, since
he was returning to Los Angeles.
Dr Ernie Geever was Chief of Surgery at Whipple Veterans Hospital in the 1950s and was in
Private Practice in Prescott for 50-years.
He was a WWII war hero decorated for Valor in Combat in Europe, twice.
He rests in Arlington National Cemetery not far from the grave stones of
Bucky O’neil and Ernest A. Love.
    Sincerely,
Rich Geever, CPA Class of 1966′ Prescott High School and Class of 1970 University of Arizona.
