The Importance of Being Earnest
Featured

02 March 2018

It’s a Victorian comedy at the Prescott Center for the Arts.

The Prescott Center for the Arts and director Julie Chavez Harrington are delighted to bring you Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest," a Victorian comedy, the first two weekends in March.  Local actors tackle the silly antics of two English gentlemen who both end up going by the name of Ernest, with romantic entanglements to follow.

The delightful casting of Bruce Thomson as Lady Bracknell/Aunt Augusta brought incredible charm to the role; newcomer Allie Lovell as Cecily made quick work of devilishly witty dialogue which brought much laughter from the audience.  The lavish set by Ered Matthew and sumptuous period costumes by Jeannen Calvin enhance this well-loved play; theater-goers will be dually impressed!

Tickets are available from $12-$20 at the PCA box office at (928)445-3286 or online at www.pca-az.net.  The Importance of Being Earnest runs March 1-11, 2018 with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances at 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm.  The theater is located at 208 N. Marina Street in Prescott, Arizona.
