(Prescott, AZ – October 20, 2015) – Members of the public are invited to attend the Yavapai College Prescott Campus Art Gallery Fall 2015 Juried Student Exhibition from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, December 13. All works are by art students currently enrolled at Yavapai College. Juried selections in the exhibition include ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, watercolor, photography, woodworking and digital representations.
An opening reception, which coincides with the Prescott Fourth Friday Art Walk, will be held on Friday, October 30 from 5-7 p.m. with refreshments served. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
The juror for this semester’s exhibit is Novie Trump, an Arizona-based sculptor and installation artist working in ceramic, mixed media and sound. Formally trained in classical archaeology at the University of North Carolina, her work has been selected for juried and invitational exhibitions in the U.S. and Europe and featured in numerous publications.
The Student Art Show allows students to have their work be juried and go through the process of photographing and digitally submitting artwork to be purchased. As a reminder for those interested in art classes, Spring 2016 registration begins November 2.
