Yavapai College Program Serves Veterans’ Education Needs

Do you want to go to college?

PRESCOTT, AZ -  Military veterans throughout northern Arizona who are looking for help to further their education beyond high school are encouraged to contact the Veterans Upward Bound TRIO program (VUB) at Yavapai College.

The federally funded VUB program is designed to motivate and assist veterans in developing academic and other skills needed for acceptance and success in college. Among the services offered to qualifying veterans are admissions counseling, academic refresher training, career planning and advising. Additionally, VUB provides access to employment resources, referrals to VA benefits application counselors and referrals to various community assistance organizations.

The program is free. All books and classroom materials are provided. Academic instruction is available in composition, mathematics, science, career advising, computer literacy and language.
