Flying High Turkey Drive – Monday, Nov. 23, 2020

On Monday, Nov. 23 we will be taking to the skies for Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Flying High Turkey Drive” to benefit the Yavapai Food Bank.

At Fry’s Stores in Prescott Valley, Prescott, Cottonwood and Flagstaff brave individuals will be “flying high” to collect 2,500 turkeys to benefit local food banks and help the less fortunate have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

From noon to 6 p.m. Prescott Valley Chamber CEO Marnie Uhl will be perched in a Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority ladder truck at the PV Fry’s store encouraging everyone via live radio remotes with KKLD 95.9FM, KVRD 105.7FM, and KQST-FM Q 102 and in person to donate turkeys.

For each five turkeys donated the ladder will be raised a foot in the air.  The goal is that by 6 p.m. she will be flying high over the store at 100 feet.  Assisting at the location is the National Wildlife Turkey Federation Yavapai Yelpers, Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority personnel, Prescott Valley Police Department officers and personnel, Pepsi, the Prescott Valley Chamber Ambassadors, Board and staff and our official Chamber Turkey Matt Zurcher.  Everyone will be encouraging your donations so that Marnie can be lifted to higher heights and reach the goal of 2,500 turkeys.  Monetary donations to purchase turkeys and all the trimmings will be gratefully accepted.

“I am very proud to be a part of this annual holiday charitable event” states Marnie Uhl, CEO of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce, “It is so heartwarming to see our community come together to support this important event and I hope everyone will help us reach our goal so that families in our community will have their special Thanksgiving dinner.”

“The Flying High Turkey Drive” is being produced by the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Fry’s, Yavapai Broadcasting and the Yavapai Food Bank.  For more information contact the Chamber of Commerce at 928-772-8857.
