Women’s Basketball team ranks high in GPA.

ATLANTA – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) women's basketball finished 2018-19 with the second highest grade point average in NAIA women's basketball, which earned the squad a spot in the 2018-19 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2018-19 season is the 24th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

ERAU was extraordinary in the classroom boasting a GPA of 3.718 as a team in 2018-19. They missed the top spot held by Indiana Institute of Technology by a tenth of a point. The Eagles were incredible on the court as well going 23-5 and were minutes from hoisting the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Championship. Fortunately, the Eagles will bring back their entire roster next season and will be battling for the top spot, both academically and athletically.
