It’s warming up!

Forecast Discussion:

Attached is the forecast that I was going to submit yesterday and got too busy…

A trough moved through Arizona yesterday, bringing scattered light rain showers mainly to our north (with some isolated thundershowers), but most of the activity was north of the Prescott area. It made for an amazing sunset yesterday and some chaotic wind and weak microburst activity due to the melting and evaporation of precipitation below the cloud bases (as evidenced by the virga).

High pressure will build over Arizona this week and lead to pronounced warming. There is still some uncertainty, but it appears that temperatures will warm into the 70s by around Friday.
