Test-drive courses and programs at Yavapai College’s Career and Technical Education Center on Sat., Apr. 9

The first of five recruiting and familiarization events will be held on Saturday, April 9 at Yavapai College’s Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) near the Prescott airport (220 Ruger Road) starting at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Participants can sign up for as many as three 30-minute sessions in classes such as CNC machining, auto body and paint, welding, construction and 3D house printing, aviation/drones, and advanced manufacturing.

“This is a great opportunity for people to get a sense of not only what YC has to offer in terms of CTE programs, but also to get an idea of the amazing facilities and instructors we have,” said John Morgan, Yavapai College Dean of Career and Technology Education.

Attendees will have the chance to take tours of CTEC, apply to Yavapai College, talk with a financial aid representative, and schedule to meet with an enrollment advisor to register for classes.

Those who wish to attend may register online at www.yc.edu/testdrive. There, you will be able to see which sessions are being offered, learn more about them, and view the overall schedule for the day.

Additional sessions will be held at the Prescott Valley Center on Apr. 15, at the Prescott Campus on Apr. 23, at the Verde Valley Campus on Apr. 30, and at the Chino Valley Center on May 21.
