PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Prescott Creeks is seeking entries for a logo to represent the 2011 Granite Creek Cleanup. This event removes tons of trash from local creeks, floodplains, and lakes annually. Your logo could help to make this an even more memorable event for everyone.
The winning logo will be used on t-shirts for approximately 400 participants and the Cleanup banner. Winner will receive a Cleanup t-shirt with the new logo and recognition in publicity associated with the event. The design should include the ideas of removing trash, clean waterways, and community participation. All submissions must be received by December 15, 2010 and will be judged by a community panel. Please submit entries to AMBenz@PrescottCreeks.org or P.O. Box 3004, Prescott, AZ 86302.
Every year hundreds of Prescott area residents and visitors gather for one purpose – to help make Prescott a better place for all of us. These volunteers spend two and a half hours pick up trash along the nine creeks and two main lakes of the upper Granite Creek Watershed. This trash adds up to multiple tons every year - tons of trash that are no longer along our trails and floating in our lakes. For their hard work volunteers receive a t-shirt, trash bags, snacks and Prescott Creeks’ gratitude, and we all receive a more beautiful, healthier area. The 2011 Granite Creek Cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 23rd.
Prescott Creeks is a nonprofit organization with the mission to promote, protect and celebrate the ecological integrity of riparian systems and associated wetlands in the central Arizona watersheds through conservation, restoration and education.
