Antelope Lanes was rockin' and literally rollin' yesterday, as the bowling alley hosted Big Brothers Big Sisters.
When we began the Child of the Week feature, more than 400 children were waiting for a Big Brother, Sister, Family or Couple.
At the Big Brothers Big Sisters picnic, with tears of happiness, Gene described how by an amazing coincidence he found his beloved pet “d.O.g.” there, after years of separation. A former neighbor brought the animal to the event, and Gene spotted the gentle dog.
Dylan is a bright and introspective 13 year-old who has been waiting for a “Big” for about 2 years!
Hailey is seeking a Big Sister of any age, someone who understands what it is to be a 13-year-old girl – or more importantly, what it takes to become a woman, a good woman.
Fifteen-year-old Jensen has been working at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop in Prescott unloading donated clothing and small items from the trucks, sorting them, and hanging up the clothes. Even after a long, hot day, he is cheerful and upbeat.
