Catholic Charities’ North Star Youth Partnership, in collaboration with Tri-City College Prep, is pleased to announce the return of the Priceless Prom project, after a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19. From March 20-29, a pop-up boutique will be set-up inside Prescott Gateway Mall, where area teens will be able to shop, free of charge, from a wide selection of prom attire.
During Priceless Prom, the clothing will be available to any local high school students on a first come, first-serve basis. The new or like new items have been donated by generous individuals in the community to ease the financial burden attending prom often causes. Additionally, Priceless Prom serves as a pay-it-forward recycling project. There is a wonderful selection of attire for this year’s teen shoppers, including dresses, shoes, purses, jewelry, tuxedos and suits. North Star Youth Partnership (NSYP) continues to accept gift card donations from floral shops and beauty salons to be raffled for the teens.
Event days and hours:
Wednesday, March 29, 3:30-5:30 p.m.According to Krystal Koons, NSYP’s Priceless Prom Coordinator, “Priceless Prom wouldn’t have been made possible without the generosity of Prescott Gateway Mall and the support of Kaela Crow. We are grateful for their donation of retail space so this popular event can take place. The financial hardships students and families are facing in today’s economy makes the event even more crucial than previous years.”
Priceless Prom will be held at Prescott Gateway Mall, 3250 Gateway Blvd., Prescott, in the former Victoria’s Secret location, west of the Food Court. The mall location is easily accessible for Quad City students and has abundant parking.Pre-registration for the event is not required; walk-ins are welcome. Any high school student wishing to attend can simply stop by during event hours.
