The City of Prescott will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection for City residents from March 6th – 24th to allow residents the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous items.
Materials accepted include, but are not limited to:
• insecticides
• pesticides
• gasoline
• car batteries
• drain and oven cleaners
• bleaches
• CFL and Fluorescent Light bulbs (unbroken)
• oil (5-gallon limit)
• latex paint (20- gallon limit)
• stain thinners
• sealers
• adhesives
• non-alkaline batteries
• old mercury thermometers
Empty containers and dried paint cans should be placed in your regular trash cart.
This is a curb-side pick-up event for residential utility customers only, no services will be provided for commercial businesses.
Pre-registration is required to participate. Residents can call 928-777-1116 or register online for this service beginning Monday, February 6th. Collection will begin Monday, March 6th.
