The Prescott Y 1st Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Fundraiser
The James Family Prescott YMCA is organizing the 1st Annual Y-Madness 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Saturday, March 25th, at the Prescott Y gymnasium.
This event is for the entire family. Coed, age groups 12U, 14U, 17U & 18+. Staff and volunteers from the Y will be working together to make sure this is a
fun-filled day. Register now in person at the Prescott Y; deadline is March 20th.
Tournament organizer Jaime DeJoseph, Sports Director for the Prescott Y shared why the tournament is so important. “We need more options for
basketball in the quad city area throughout the year. There are so many youth in this community that are looking to play basketball year round and this is just another way for them to continue playing the sport they love.”
Proceeds to benefit the Prescott Y 2023 Annual Campaign which raises money for their scholarship fund which provides support to individuals or families who otherwise cannot afford to participate in Y offerings. “As a 501(c) 3 organization, we strive to ensure that no one is turned away from our programs or services,” stated Damon Olsen CEO of the James Family Prescott YMCA. “Whether it’s childcare, a program or even membership, we’re here to support everyone in our community,” Olsen said.
