Phoenix-based solar energy company, Zenernet, LLC out of business with remaining BBB complaints

In January, Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest (BBB) concluded its investigation into the Phoenix, Arizona-based Zenernet, LLC, which offered solar energy products and installation. Multiple reputable websites have noted the Zenernet, LLC being out of business as of December 2022 and the business filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy on January 13, 2023.

From October – December 2022, BBB saw an influx in complaints with the business. In the publicly listed complaints, consumers allege that the business left them with unfinished projects that were never completed or inoperable systems, but they were still being charged monthly payments. Some consumers allege that city inspections failed or were never completed. Consumers also allege business was hard to get a hold of and did not return calls or messages sent to them.

BBB has reached out to the business with inquiries into their practices including asking about the root issues of their customer complaints. As of the date of this announcement, BBB has not received a response.

Before choosing a solar energy or installation company, BBB recommends researching on BBB.org for a trustworthy company. Consumers affected by the closure of this business may contact the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and Contractors State License Board to learn more about the industry and file a complaint. They may also contact the local Attorney General’s Office, and/or file a claim with the Small Claims Court.
