Varsity Boys Basketball
The Prescott Badgers took care of business in Flagstaff with a 68-56 win over the struggling Eagles. The Badgers were led by Uriah Tenette with 28 points, and Jake Hilton with 21. Zane Gaul had a big night inside with 16 points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots.
The game saw a low scoring opening quarter, but both teams picked it up in the second quarter, with Prescott on top 25-23 at the half.
The Badgers came out and took control of the game in the third quarter, despite the offensive performance by Flagstaff’s junior guard Connor O’Brien-Piubeni’s, who ended with a 28-point performance. Leading 48-37, Prescott kept a safe distance between themselves and the host Eagles, finishing the night off with a 12-point win.
The Badgers (4-1) in the Grand Canyon Region, and (12-2) overall, will host Mingus tonight at 7 pm.

Varsity Girls Basketball
The Lady Badgers fell 71-43 at home to the Flagstaff Eagles. Flagstaff, one of the top teams in division 4, has won five straight heading into their next contest with rival Coconino. The winner will have sole possession of first place in the Grand Canyon Region. Prescott drops to (1-4) and (6-10) overall. The Lady Badgers will travel to Cottonwood to face Mingus tonight at 5:30 pm.

The Badgers, coming off an 8-0 road loss at Saguaro, will host Mohave on Wednesday at 5 pm. It will be the first Grand Canyon Region game of the season for Prescott.
