Median sold price remains strong in the Quad Cities – Prescott Area Association of Relators

The median sold price in the Quad Cities rose again in September, according to the housing market report released today by the Prescott Area Association of REALTORS® (PAAR). All four regions posted growth in median sales prices since the beginning of 2022.

Prescott recorded a 10.2% increase in median sales price last month, coming in at $605,971. The area also experienced the lowest numbers for active listings on the market, while median days on the market tracked at less than one month.

“Now more than ever it’s important to use a local REALTOR®, like a member of PAAR, who has the experience necessary to navigate this changing market,” said George Beitzel, 2022 PAAR President.

“The Quad Cities added almost 500 new listings last month,” Beitzel added. “A REALTOR® will be there to help you navigate the competition and guide you through the entire process.”

Chino Valley was the only region to experience a slight drop in median sales price last month of 10.5%. However, it led the region in new listings added to the market with a 55.3% increase.

Prescott Valley posted the second highest number of new listings with 166 new homes going on the market last month. The data also shows the area as having 4.5 months of inventory, the highest of all the regions.

Dewey-Humboldt experienced a 34.1% drop in new listings from this time last year and reported the lowest numbers of active inventory in the region, with only 2.5 months available, according to market trends.

The 980 homes listed for sale in the Quad Cities region at the end of September reflect a doubling of available homes since this time last year.
