The Badgers continue to dominate their opponents with a 9-0 sweep over visiting Barry Goldwater at Prescott High School. The Badgers have won 62 of the 63 games they have played so far.
Elle Long in her senior season said, “We are having a really good season and looking back this is what I had hoped for. We have a great group of girls on this team, and I have a great group of friends.”
About missing out on the championship last season, Long added, “I can definitely feel that the team wants it, almost to the point of being angry. We are very motivated to finish the season off with a championship. Last year I wasn’t to play, but I know this year we are head strong.”
Prescott (7-0) will participate in the Forner Invitational at the Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix on Saturday. The Badgers will return home on Tuesday to take on North Canyon in the Prescott High School Auxillary Gym, before they travel on Thursday to take on unbeaten Chaparral. Game time for both is 4 pm.
