Watters Garden Center June Classes Resume

A Free Garden Class is offered every Saturday in June @ 9:30 am at Watters Garden Center, 1815 Iron Springs Rd in Prescott.

June 11 @ 9:30 am The Doctor is in the House – How to Heal Sick Plants -As we enter summer the heat, bugs, and disease take their toll in the gardens.  Frustrated gardens will have insight into proper water, grasshopper control, and getting the most out of your vegetable gardens. Frustrated gardeners will have all the tools they need to keep the garden pest-free! You can have a nice yard with these easy-to-use tips and a few key plant choices.

June 18 @ 9:30 am – Perennial Plants that Thrive in Summer Heat – June is the ideal month to plant perennials in the gardens. Students learn how to design seasonally for a continual 4-season bloom in the garden. Notable mentions will be the native and heat-loving flowers that bloom without any care at all. All local & All Free.

 June 25 @ 9:30 am – Best Mountain Fruit Trees and How to Plant Them – Have your landscape and eat it, too! We’ll share the tips, tricks, and recipes that make for a better, healthier, and tastier landscape. Plant experts will be on hand after the class that specializes in fruiting designs that can be eaten after planting.
