Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation (YC4KF) Is thrilled to announce its 8th annual gala for foster children, Champion for Children: A Triple Crown Affair, on June 11th from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Sam Hill Warehouse in Prescott.
“The event is going to be epic!” Mona Stephens, Development Director at YC4KF exclaimed.” It’s not your average gala, think all the excitement and extravagance of the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Preakness but right here in Prescott for a great cause.”
The event will feature Greg Mengarelli as MC and auctioneer, live music from the Joe Booth Band, Kentucky Derby inspired games, a Triple Crown inspired buffet, drinks, raffles, a best-dressed contest, streaming of the Belmont Stakes, and more. All proceeds from the gala go directly to programs that work to enrich the lives of nearly 400 foster youth in Yavapai County.
These programs include but are not limited to: programs that provide emergency clothing when a foster youth enters the system with only the clothes on their back, programs that help foster youth better transition into adulthood when they age out of care, and programs that provide items/experiences that contribute to well-rounded childhood, and programs that clothing bi-annually to foster youth who only receive $150 per year from the state for clothing.
Be the reason a local foster youth has their needs met and the support they need to overcome the negative statistics that often become their reality. There are almost 400 children in our neighborhoods that need our support. Show them you care while donning your bow ties, huge derby hats, winning trips/prizes, and having a grand time at the Champion for Children: a Triple Crown Affair, the only gala in the area supporting foster youth.
Tickets are on sale now at YC4KF.org and they are selling out fast so don’t wait to grab yours.
YC4KF is still looking for gala sponsors and donations for the auction and raffle. To become a sponsor, donate to the event, or to find out more information email events@YavapaiCASAforKids.org
