On Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, at approximately 5:21 A.M. Prescott Police Officers, along with the Prescott Fire Department, responded to Peppertree Park, located at 215 West Delano Ave, after having received a report that playground equipment was on fire.
Upon arrival, crews found the ground covering, directly below the playground equipment, actively burning. The flames and heat from the fire had caused significant damage to the playground equipment. Prescott Fire Department personnel were able to quickly extinguish the fire and keep it contained to the park area.
Investigators from the Prescott Police Department as well as the Prescott Fire Department responded to the scene. Investigators processed the scene and evidence of Arson was located.
